Crispy chickpeas are a savory snack is packed with fiber and protein. They are fun to munch on, but also make a fantastic topping for salads! And the best part is that you can make them in the air fryer or your oven.
15oz.canned chickpeasdrained, rinsed, and patted dry
1Tbsp.extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp. garam masala
1/8 tsp.salt
Instructions
In a medium-sized bowl, combine all of the ingredients and stir well so that the chickpeas are coated in the oil and spices.
Place the chickpea mixture into the air fryer basket and spread out in a single layer (if using a Mealthy CrispLid, place the basket on the trivet to raise it up). (If you don't have an air fryer, preheat your oven to 400 degrees, line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and place the chickpeas on the baking sheet in a single layer.)
Cook in the air fryer at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes, until they are browning and crispy, tossing once or twice to get even cooking, if necessary. (If using the oven, bake for 20 - 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.)
