Strawberry-Banana Smoothies
The first smoothie I ever had was a strawberry-banana smoothie and I immediately knew I was hooked. This version is healthy enough for a nourishing snack or breakfast, but sweet enough to serve as dessert (and who doesn't love that?!).
Ingredients
- 2 cups strawberries, fresh or frozen,
- 2 bananas
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup low fat plain or vanilla yogurt (or use any variety)
- 1 cup kale, spinach, or other greens optional
Instructions
- In a blender, puree the strawberries, bananas, orange juice, and yogurt, and serve immediately. For an extra nutritional boost add a cup of kale, spinach, or other greens before you start blending.
