It was a pretty typical morning. By 7 a.m. I had cleaned up the kitchen and cleaned up dog vomit, made 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches, changed the laundry and changed a light bulb. I had been up several times during the night with a sick child, and Andrew had left at 5 a.m. for a business trip. My head was groggy, but fortunately coffee was brewing (yes, also made by me). You know, the usual.
As I looked ahead to my chaotic day full of meetings and to-do lists, I realized the only thing that didn't stress me out was dinner. I knew what I was making--this week's Potato and Prosciutto Scramble--and I knew that it would only take me about 20 minutes to have a delicious and healthy meal on the table for my family, so I could finally sit down with them and relax for a while--at least before getting up to do the dishes!
I'm telling you this story because a) you can probably relate to my morning, and b) I hope you are finding as much comfort and calm from weekly meal planning with The Scramble as I am. If you know someone whose dinnertime routine feels as chaotic as the rest of their day, then I hope you'll consider telling them about the joy of weekly menu planning with The Six O'Clock Scramble (you might even want to forward them this newsletter--just this once, please!). Ask them if they'd like someone to plan their weekly meals and give them a grocery list to take with them to the store each week for about $1 a week. Do you think they'll be able to resist?
I so appreciate how many of you Scramblers tell your friends, relatives and online social groups about The Scramble. Please feel free to share your discount code from your grocery list (you can see it when you print the weekly menu) to save them $3 on a subscription. Even better, you automatically get a free month for each new subscriber who you refer.
Thanks so much for sharing your weekly scramble with me. Please let me know if we can do anything else to make your dinnertimes easier.
