I absolutely love it! The meals are organized seasonally, so you are buying and cooking produce that is fresh and readily available (and usually affordable). They are all quick and fairly easy. And the kicker? BOTH of my kids have eaten and enjoyed everything I have made from this cookbook. Do you realize how utterly insane that is? This is a busy mom's lifesaver.

I'm sure you get emails like this all the time, but I just have to add my tremendous and excited THANKS to you for your wonderful and most fabulous book. I love to serve home cooked meals (it's just me and my husband--how hard should that be??), but I LOATHE deciding what to make for dinner day after day, week after week... So I decided to just "cook your book"--meaning I'm just cooking every single recipe in order, by season, until we've gone through the whole thing. I'm keeping notes, of course, of our favorites, just for future reference, but I always joke to my husband--glad you liked it, but you won't see it for another year.

I'm also finding we save SO much money this way--I just buy all the ingredients on Sunday night or Monday afternoon, then don't have to go to the store again, except for fresh bread or produce, which was another reason I often resisted cooking. So we're eating out less, avoiding throwing together expensive last minute meals, etc.

We had the lemon-herbed chicken tonight, just as you wrote it up--complete with green beans w/ pesto and couscous. It was delicious! And of course I love how quickly these meals get onto the table too. I've met many a cookbook that was too complicated, contained too many ingredients to be reasonable for a weeknight meal, or was so poorly written I couldn't follow the directions at all. But that's so not the case here! And even though I love drooling over season recipes in various magazines, it's too much to try to plan menus with all these different scraps of paper.

Your book has changed our life SO MUCH for the better!!!

I feel like we are waiting anxiously for the next Harry Potter book, and wondered when your next cookbook will be released, if you have plans for a "next". I feel like other family friendly cookbook just don't get it, and focus on crafty cutsy designs, and not on the actual meal. I want to let you know that I really LOVE your cookbook. I gave my best friend a subscription to the Scramble a few years ago for her birthday. Then I saw the cookbook one day at a little boutique store here in MN and had to get it for her for her birthday (in October). She then turned around and bought me my own copy for Christmas two months later because she loved it so much and knew I would too. We always call each other when we try new recipes to let the other know how it went over with our families. It's been two years now and I think every recipe has been a hit! It is so wonderful to have a "go to" cookbook that I know will have healthy, easy recipes as I plan out my menus. Thank you again! Looking forward to the new cookbook!
